Letter 2
Will summer ever end? Yes, it will, but I wish that summer would never end because I love summer the most. One of the reasons I do not like winter is that I do not wear a lot of clothes;it looks so awkward and so is your action. That is inconvenient to do anything. I do not like the hot and humid weather because sometimes some people are so stinky after sweating. I have no idea why they are so stinky after sweating a lot because I do smell so good after sweating lol. And I love the feelings of full of perspiration on my body;that is so fantastic. Although summer has plenty of problems I have to meet, I still love it!!! I can bear. More interestingly, I also want to see the snow. I have never seen snow so far, but I do not prefer the freezing weather. That is a tension between my longings and preferences. By the way, I find that we sometimes do not know what we want, but we know what we do not want. Why don't we know what we want?
Because people are greedy. They want to have the cake and keep it, only that it is not possible. I cannot save the money and have the books because I love books, and so I cannot save money.
ReplyDeleteSorry if my comment startled you a little, but I read your letter and I want to reply :D
p.s. I like the idea of using the word tension over here :)
Thanks for replying my post :))) I am so happy that anyone can response.
DeleteJay,
ReplyDeleteSorry that I have taken so long to comment on your letter.
You must be one of the few people that really enjoy the heat and humidity of the Taiwan summer. We smell differently when we sweat because of the foods that we eat. Different people who eat different foods will have very different smells. Do you notice when you walk into a classroom on a hot day that there is actually a strong smell of all the different people? But after a few minutes, you don't notice the smell anymore? That's the same with your own smell. You really can't smell yourself.
Where was the picture taken?

The picture was taken at Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei. There were plenty of rainbow public arts there then, so I took photos there.
